A Load Cell works by using an electronic weigh cell over which the vehicle is driven. A computer can then record the output of the cell and this will inform the police if the truck is overweight or not. In time the Load Cell might need replacing and plenty of replacements can be found from manufacturers of weighbridges who keep spares in stock at all times. Regardless of what type of weighbridge is using the Load Cell, a suitable replacement item can be sourced. The next time you see the police pulling trucks over you might have a better idea of what they are doing as they are probably checking the weight of the vehicle and its contents.
